Basement Update

We are getting soooo close to being done with our basement! We got carpet laid and finished up trim work and doors. We are LOVING having the extra sq. footage. It has pretty much doubled our living space. I decided to leave the basement pretty bare and open for now so it can be a place that the kids can play and have fun. We have the play room under the stairs that the kids love and then we have their basketball hoop down there and no furniture so they can get toys out and really spread out. And the best part of it all...the upstairs stays nice and clean and when we have visitors the kids toys aren't strung all over the place. We still need to finish tiling the shower in the bathroom and getting a counter top and new toilet. But having the basement be functional is a big accomplishment for this house of ours!!
