A MOVE IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE
We have been on the fence about putting our house up for sale, we have known since we purchased the home in 2012 that it would be a fixer upper, investment opportunity. But it has been such a cozy, wonderful home to us and our kids, that it is hard to say goodbye to it. We put it up for sale by owner, so we could get the most out of it that we could. We didn't even have it up for a full day and we had an offer on it and accepted the offer. However, the people that put the offer in didn't have any money to put down on the house, so they were financing their closing costs, which in turn added 5,000 onto the purchase price. When it came time for the appraisal, the house didn't appraise for the added 5,000$. Which put us in a sticky situation. However, the whole time we were in the process of the closing on our home, it just didn't feel right (infact we hadn't even packed anything up) we just had a feeling that things weren't really going to go through. so when the time came to decide if we should continue on with these buyers or just back out of it (since our contract had expired) we opted to just back out of it and re-evaluate things. It was a frustrating time for Mark and I, because we had thought we were certain on the answer we received about selling our house, so we felt confused and little lost. For now we were just going to finish out the summer in our home and enjoy it even more.
