4th of July

This year was a little different than most, because Grandma and Grandpa Nield didn't want to go to the parade and Aunt Alese and her family went to Heise to swim. So that left just our family to go to the parade. We went and found a little spot for our family and waited for the parade to start in the cold shade. The kids were freezing while we were waiting. We got to enjoy the parade and then headed to Swan Valley for a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa Nield and Nana. It was beautiful at Swan Valley and the kids really enjoyed the views and throwing rocks in the water. On the way home, we stopped and grabbed square ice cream cones. I am really glad we were able to spend a little bit of time with Nana because although we didn't know it then, that was the last 4th of July we would spend with Nana before she passed away. Later that evening we met up with Grandpa Nield and went to the fireworks in Idaho Falls. It was a fun - filled day.
