All hell broke loose again with sickness We had a trip planned for the beginning of June to the Hiawatha Trail with Amy, Bud and Rylee. McCall ended up sick with almost exactly the same symptoms as Diesel had. She had a throat covered in White and she had a rash all over her face neck and arms. She didn't itch but she said her skin felt like it was sunburnt and sore. We had her tested for strep, and it came back negative, we had her tested for mono (which took a week to test for) that came back with not accurate resluts so it was no help. She mostly got over the rash and throat by herself but then her face broke out in red bumps everywhere. Right around this time Briggs started having symptoms. His started with a rash and very little white on his tonsils Friday. By Saturday night he had huge blisters and white in his throat. He ended up being admitted to the hospital Monday morning with Scalded skin syndrom. He spent a week in the hospital. Had to have surgery and cadaver skin put all over him to heal the hurt skin. He had to learn how to walk again, eat again, and it was not a fun time for any of us. We saw many miracles and blessings. WE are hoping and praying for him to be back to good health and not have any problems from this. We rescheduled our Hiawatha Trip for July but have to cancel that too because Briggs has to stay out of pools until his skin is healed. I think we better stop planning trips because everytime we do someone ends up deathly ill. WE have had success in the garden this year. We have beans, peas, carrots, spinach, Zucchinni, Pumpkins, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cucumbers. We are excited for canning season. Baseball has been a bit of a crap show also. McCall was sick and missed about 3/4 of her games, Briggs went to 2 games before he got sick. Diesel has been able to make it to all his games. We are going to try to make the most out of our ruined summer. Poor Briggs isnt allowed in the sun very long. It's proving to be my least favorite year to date.
