My mom is so great to all of us. We all went and got pedicures this saturday and it was a lot of fun. We got to relax and chat the whole time.
However- I think the best present for my Mom this Mother's Day, was getting that phone call from Jeff. We were all very excited to hear his voice after three months. And it was such a relief to hear his voice and hear him tell us that he is doing alright. We all had a lot of questions for him; it was a whole bunch of questioning and answering. Jeff was at a young couples house and we got to talk to him for almost TWO HOURS. He said he has a really good companion, and he is having a really good time in his area. They are in Algiers, LA right now and it is really ghetto there. A lot of the apartments have bars on the windows and bars to go through to get into the complex. He said it is very different from Idaho, and that the people there are always drunk and he gets pretty scared just riding his bike around.
Here is all the family gathered around talking to Jefferson on the phone. It was so much fun hearing from him, but very hard to say good-bye; there were a lot of tears.
