Our 2011 Thanksgiving

This year it was my year for Thanksgiving, so we had Thanksgiving dinner with my family. We usually have dinner at my parents house; and do all the traditional things, but this year my parents house was all torn up because they are laying tile down in their main floor. So instead Aunt Denise invited us to dinner with her and Kent and her two daughters that live here, Jen and Amy. Dinner was good and we had fun visiting with everyone and relaxing. But my parents started a tradition probably 8 years ago that is a lot of fun- we all go to the movies. This year we saw Tower Heist, and it was pretty funny. After the movie we all headed back over to my parents house and had pie with all of our family and friends. We all bring a pie and just have a good time. We usually end up with a TON of pie and not enough room in our stomaches for all of it. We had a really good Thanksgiving. We really missed having Jefferson here with us, and we hated not having a clue where he had been transferred to but we found out later that he was in a great new city and that he had three Thanksgiving dinners. We are so blessed to have Jeff in our family and for his example to us and serving a mission. I love this time of year when we can think about all of the blessings that we have and how great our lives are. We are excited for Christmas and the Christmas Season!!
