Duck Races & Stephanie and Andrews Wedding

The Duck Races were this weekend at the Greenbelt and we went and had a picnic with my parents, Ty and Alese, and Nana. We saw Mitzi, Aunt Denise, Amy and their kids there also. It was pretty hot, but we got a place in the shade by the river and it felt nice. We had our favorite subs from the sandwich tree and just watched people walk by. My mom thought it was Hilarious that a huge dog pooped right in the middle of the walking track and whenever people would walk by they would look down at it and make a gross face. She probably entertained herself with watching people walk around it and barely dodge it for a good half hour. After we ate My Dad, Ty, Alese, Mark and I went and looked at the old cars. We didn't stay at the Greenbelt long after that because McCall was hot and hadn't had her nap and was very angry! We went home, had a nap and then got ready for Stephanie's wedding. My cousin Stephanie got married today and my parents and Ty and Alese, and Mark and I got to attend the ceremony. They are being sealed next month and we are so happy for them. The ceremony was really nice and the weather was beautiful. It is so nice to get together with family that we haven't seen for a long time and catch up. We ate yummy cheesecake and then we got to let japanese lanterns go in their backyard. Everyone was a little "iffy" lighting something on fire and then sending it up in the air to come down at any moment and light a field on fire. But we were assured that the only way the lantern flies is if the fire is going and so if the lantern starts dropping it is because the fire has gone out. So we let them go and it was so pretty to watch all of them go. We had a fun night and are so grateful for family and the love we all share.
